Children reconnected with friends, shared summer stories and met new classmates as teachers and staff greeted arriving families. Parents took photos at back-to-school photo spots while students joined pickup games, found their line-up areas and met their new teachers.
Principal Dr. Joseph Cordero said the first morning reflected the school’s community spirit. “Seeing our returning students reunite with their friends and watching our new families immediately jump into the fun reminded me what makes Grover Cleveland so special,” he said. “This incredible energy sets the standard for a wonderful year of growth, learning, and community.”
When the bell rang, students lined up with their teachers and entered the building to begin the new academic year.
