During a dedicated induction ceremony, the newly appointed student leaders recited the Safety Patrol Pledge, promising to uphold safety, demonstrate responsibility, and serve as positive role models for their peers throughout the school community.
The Safety Patrol program selects responsible upper-elementary students who have demonstrated exemplary behavior, strong academic effort, and a willingness to help others.
"Taking on the role of a Safety Patrol member is one of the highest honors and responsibilities a student can earn at Grover Cleveland Elementary," said Dr. Cordero, principal. "These student leaders set the tone for safety, respect, and kindness every single day. I am extremely proud of their commitment to serving our school community this year."
Following the official oath, each new patrol member was presented with their official high-visibility safety belt and badge, symbolizing their new role and authority within the school environment.
These student leaders can now be seen assisting with morning arrival, monitoring hallways, and helping younger students navigate the school safely.
