Students from kindergarten through sixth grade crafted colorful pinwheels with messages and drawings symbolizing peace. They planted the pinwheels on the school’s front lawn as part of an annual tradition promoting a peaceful and inclusive environment.
Dr. Cordero, the school’s principal, shared his enthusiasm for the project.
“Watching our students create these pinwheels and place them in the ground is truly inspiring,” he said. “This project goes beyond a simple craft; it’s a hands-on lesson in unity and the importance of global harmony. The pinwheel garden is a physical representation of our students’ hopes for a more peaceful world.”
The Pinwheels for Peace project began with two art teachers in Florida in 2005 and has since grown into an international movement, with schools around the world participating each year.
